During my investigation phase of searching for the best solution I e-mailed our own Brian Jowett Jowett Performace for his input. Remove the rear axle bearing. Although it seems Brian is mainly focussed on Tundra and 200-Series Land Cruisers the rear axle assemblies are very similar to the 100-Series.

Fits Tundra Axle Shaft - Repair or ReplaceThe Axle Shaft in your Toyota may need to be removed to replace a seal or bearing because of a leak or noise. Once the seal is seated coat the lips of the seal with grease. Also it will fit any symmetrical 4-bolt.

Bolts to the bearing flange and fits into a Harbor Freight or similar 20-ton hydraulic press. Using the special tools remove the rear wheel bearing and wheel bearing oil seal. Parts fit for the following vehicle options.

All Other parts for Harley. I built a bearing puller adapter out of a 29 piece 3 schd 40 pipe with 12 plate on both ends total length 30. The bearings last a long time but at some point you may need to replace this bearing on you.
