2000 toyota tundra rust recall. I noticed a small hole in the frame of the pickup underneath motor. 2000 Tundra Limited 4x4 1100 Build. The company had to recall thousands of Toyota Tundra models of 2000-2003 sold in the US because of frame rust.

When I took it in for service the mechanic called me to come have a look at the frame. We had some bed rust starting 2013 Tundra. 2000 Tundra Limited garage kept factory drop in bed liner bed cover since almost new.

Just purchased a 2000 Toyota Tundra SR5 4x4 with V8 frame is in pretty rough shape. The vehicle identification number tells you if your car is affected. Extreme frameframe-rail rust requiring a new frame or vehicle replacement.

I undercoated the frame pretty well then both sides of the bed. I now have a hole the size of a softball in the frame that is rusted through in two locations. No assistance was offered.

2015 Toyota Tundra DC SR5 57L Joined Jan 23. Upon inspection it was discovered that the subframe was severe rusted and corroded. Called Toyota dealer and they advised that the full frame recall expired in 2012 however the recall for the cross member under the bed was still active.
