2000 toyota tundra stalling problem. Basically first thing in the am is when this occurs since its summer here in NJ if its cool and cloudy and sits for 9 hrs it does the same thing in the afternoon if sunny starts right up if I let it sit till 11am or so on a warm sunny day it starts right up. We received a recall for this vehicle from Toyota to say the secondary air injection system valve stuck open we contacted them the vehicle was under the mileage but under the year of manufacture this was relayed to us on two different occasions verbally Toyota seems reluctant to put it in writing. I have a 2000 Tundra low miles 55K and Im the original owner.

It also would turn on the CEL and throw codes like P0440. That means it is the same as popping the clutch on a conventional transmission car. It doesnt idle anymore.
